Glovileth loves learning and enjoys being around friends to bond and play. Her parents are supportive and caring, but she urgently needs medical attention for her right hand, which was severely affected by complications from improperly treated chickenpox. According to her mother’s account, when she was one year old, she contracted chickenpox. During the healing stage, she repeatedly scratched the last remaining blister on her hand, causing it to become infected and swell up to her arm.

The family initially relied on herbal remedies, but her condition worsened, leading to surgery. Unfortunately, the procedure was unable to restore the normal functioning of her hand. Due to the family’s financial limitations, they are unable to provide the medical care, rehabilitation, and therapy she needs.

Glovileth’s stepfather works as a farm laborer and earns approximately $8.13 per day, serving as the sole provider for their family of five. Although a cousin living with them receives support from his mother, the allowance amounting to only $24.39 every fifteen days is barely enough to meet the cousin’s own basic needs.
